The Happening is an annual event for White County High School Students. This year is extra special, as we celebrate the 26th Happening! Our goals started out simple and have remained the same throughout the years.
Our three main goals for this ministry are:
Everything at the Happening is absolutely FREE! It’s a night full of fun, food, fellowship, and friends. You don’t want to miss it!

Permission Slips: You must have a permission slip signed and turned in to the school office or Happening table. You may also bring it with you when you come to check in on Nov. 9. There will also be permission slips available at the check-in.
The check-in station will be at the main entrance of the high school.
Check-in starts at 3:30 p.m. We encourage you to get there early to have time for all activities.
If you cannot make it by 3:30 because of work or school activities, you must check-in by 6:30 pm. Doors will be closed at 6:30 pm. The event ends at 10:00 p.m.
Due to insurance and liability concerns, we will not be providing rides home.
We are excited to have Kris Dolberry as our guest speaker this year. He is a Pastor at Thompson Station Church in Nashville, TN., and has spoken at numerous youth events. Kris is passionate about seeing people come to know Jesus.
You are to maintain the same dress code as you have at school. We will be selling t-shirts during lunch break at school, but you do not have to purchase a Happening t-shirt to attend.
If you plan to play basketball, you must wear gym shoes. You will not be allowed on the gym floor otherwise.
There will be sign-up sheets for basketball, talent room and other activities. Get your teams or bands together and sign-up when you get to The Happening. You will need to bring your own instruments and downloaded music for the talent room.
There will be prizes awarded to the winners of many activities throughout the night!
The Happening will be well-staffed by screened and trained adults to provide a safe environment for all who attend.
It is a FREE event! It is for White County High School Students ONLY.
